Willow + Sage began with a simple frustration: spa days that felt like conveyor belts. We built the opposite.
Marisol Vance opened Willow + Sage in 2017 with two treatment tables, a kettle, and a promise: nobody would ever feel processed here.
She had spent a decade working in resort spas — beautiful places, she’ll tell you, that ran on fifteen-minute turnarounds. When a storefront opened up on Juniper Canyon Road, a low adobe building with arched windows and a willow out front, she signed the lease the same week.
Today the studio has three treatment rooms, a small team of therapists who choose their own pace, and regulars who’ve been coming since the first month. The kettle is still on.
Nobody would ever feel processed here.
Our oils, masks, and balms are blended in small batches in Arizona and New Mexico: prickly pear, juniper, chamomile, and sage from growers we know by name. No parabens, no synthetic fragrance, and full ingredient lists on request.
Phones stay in cedar lockers at the door. Voices stay low. Music stays soft. It sounds strict until you feel what a genuinely quiet room does for a nervous system. Then it just feels like relief.
A 60-minute massage means 60 minutes of hands-on care. Consultation and dressing time are scheduled around it, not carved out of it, and we book generous gaps between guests so no one is hurried out of the room.
Our therapists aren’t on commission. If they recommend an enhancement or a product, it’s because they believe your body will thank you, and “no” is always a complete answer.
Small team, deep practice. You’ll see the same faces visit after visit.

Every room is named for what grows outside its window.
Our largest treatment room, warmed for stone work, with the old willow just outside the arch window.
Soft north light for facials, a warm-water basin, and eucalyptus hung fresh each week.
Home of the herbal wrap: heated table, steamed linens, and the smell of juniper year-round.
Low chairs, heavy blankets, an always-warm teapot, and no clock on any wall.
A spa can’t be a refuge and a stranger to its own town at the same time. A few of the ways we try to belong:
